IPA’s Double Standards – Disgusting

I called in today at IPA Office, Konedobu, to follow up on an application lodged on the 13th of January 2021.

When Iodging the application, I was advised by the good officers that my application should be ready in 2 weeks. That I will receive my registration documents via email.2 weeks on because I had not received my documents, I took it upon myself to enquire. Query by email proved futile.

Via telephone, I was advised ‘ it is being processed’ and that became the standard automated response received next few queries.Almost a month on, I decided to check inperson. Guess what? Same response. How so? Explanation was the officer, who processed the application had failed to upload necessary attachments hence the delay. When asking how long I have to wait, another 2 weeks I was told. Excepting my fate, I made for the exit.

However, I bumped into an old friend. Interestingly he was there to lodge the same kind I had. Out of curiosity I stayed to observe from a distance. He did everything I was asked to filing mine. The amazing thing was he got his certification documents right then (same-day service). When asked how so, his answer, two words ‘lunch moni‘.

I realized then and then my ignorance (really?) would cost me another 2 more weeks of stressful waiting.

I came out of this experience all the more wiser: That government institutions and structures are the chief impediment to our struggles for total freedom and independence.
